Brad Wilk, the drummer, was born on the 5th September 1968, in Portland, Oregon. He lived in Chicago, and settled in Southern
California. Brad grew up seeing how money corrupted his father's life. From that Brad has always valued simple things. While
growing up he was a fan of music and listened to the Sex Pistols, who changed his life. Brad got into Rage Against the Machine
by placing an ad in a newspaper which Tom Morello happened to have read. Brad is considered as the heart of the group, because
he cares about others and their feelings. So he is always looking out for everyone, athough Brad stated in Ray Gun magazine
that " I really wish I could be a fucking asshole". Brad was more into the music part of Rage then the political
side. Brad has a gray & black tattoo of the number #3 on his upper left arm and a lion on the his right upper arm.
